We have over 25 equines in our care a mixture of ponies, horses and donkeys as well as cats and some birds. Help take care of donkeys and other animals at a sanctuary for abused and neglected animals. I have need for someone experienced on a scrubcutting / brushcutting machine, and chainsaw. Outside physical work is varied land maintenance with creative building projects. I am not growing much veggies these days, but lots of fruit and timber trees. I have to work at the business several days each week, so guests also have to be happy working alone sometimes. I have a tipi and yurt making business on the land, check out the website though this has it`s own workers so help is not needed there.
Accommodation is in your own beautiful 5m diameter yurt. This means I really need independently capable guests! Guests share daily household life, cooking cleaning etc. Since 2016 I am now running the whole property on my own, which is quite daunting, and having my 16 yr old boy about half the time. My husband and I speak Spanish as well and have been traveling the world in the past :) Pele is an ex Scuba-diving instructor and can advise if that's of interest to you. We come from a Jewish background and speak Hebrew and English in our home. We love sport, music, films, growing vegetables, and fruits, going to the beach, and meeting new friends. My husband, Pele, works as a teacher at the local Steiner school and I work as a nurse around the Shire so there are a lot of opportunities to get around even if you don’t have a car. We live on a spacious block of land with lots of fruit trees about 7 minutes drive from Mullumbimby, 15 minutes from Brunswick Heads, and 30 to Byron Bay.
